Excess Whiteness
One way to measure the effectiveness of legal education is to ascertain how well the law schools are enrolling students from diverse racial backgrounds. The expectation is that a law school will be no Whiter than the LSAC pools and the state population. Excess Whiteness is based on the sum of the excess Whiteness in the national LSAC Pool, the regional, the state LSAC pool, and the state population.
The higher the number, the more White students are in the school than in the applicant pools. Each pool is reported below. The highest sum of the four pools was 113 points; the lowest was 0; the average was 32, and the median was 29.
