The Supreme Court in Runco v. Common Cause recently held that despite the unconstitutional of extreme partisan gerrymandering there was nothing they could do to prevent it. It is according to the majority a political decision to be resolved by Congress or State legislatures. This video discusses the difference between partisan gerrymandering and racial gerrymandering; why the recent court decision is problematic for racial justice; and reforms that could be taken. The lecture component is 30 minutes.  The pdf handout is available at Patreon.com.
